Gourmet Corner and Garden Installation

Once again, Encounters’ Kitchen was open to the public – offering Mexican lunches, tasty snacks and refreshing drinks. Just outside our Gourmet Corner is Encounters’ arty-garden, where  this year’s installation was located, requiring imagining the world turned up-side-down.

After last year’s success, we had a bigger and better Arty-Shop in 2018. A new range of gifts and collectables pieces, supplied by our artists-in-residence, was offered. A special feature was Carlos Sanchez’s new collection and Carola Barrios Noguera’s contemporary textile jewellery.

"A work of art is not an object, it's not a thing, it's a proposal for mankind, a proposal for society."

Waldemar Cordeiro

"Art is not what you see but what you make others see".
