Encountering Encounters: The Book

Encountering Encounters is a book that celebrates the first decade of our community art project embedded in the exciting, quirky and arty city of Brighton & Hove.
This beautifully produced 68-page book tells the story of how Encounters evolved and learnt how to make a contribution to our community.

This Year’s Theme

Our 2024 Exhibition offers a close interaction between Visual Art and Poetry. These two artistic media collide to create artistic encounters from which emerged Voices of Colours.
Poets in this Exhibition have given voice to the exhibited canvases creating a plastic dialogue that enables visitors to explore synergies in a multi-sensory experience evoking Kandinsky’s statement that “colour directly influences the soul”.
Dates for the 2024 festival are: 4/5, 11/12, 18/19 and 25/26/27 May 2024. We are open from 11am – 6pm on these days

Featuring a New Jewellery Collection by Esquirlas

Esquirlas is a jewellery brand with modern designs and traditional techniques where everything is made by hand. Every piece is born with a concept translated to paper with simple lines and live gestures. It is the materialisation of the piece that completes the process.
For ESQ, jewellery is more than something you wear, it is a scale-size sculpture. Even more, it is a memory in solid-state.
All pieces are made with passion and dedication.
