Encountering Encounters: The Book

Encountering Encounters is a book that celebrates the first decade of our community art project embedded in the exciting, quirky and arty city of Brighton & Hove.

This beautifully produced 68-page book tells the story of how Encounters evolved and learnt how to make a contribution to our community.

Our Summer Show 2021

In June our bold, challenging and provocative exhibition Artistic Dialogues of Light and Hope received almost 1000 visitors.

Of special interest was our first-ever digital room. Five international artists – Elizabeth Cemborain, Alonso Galue, H. Do Nacimiento, Ruben Aranguren and Yole Quintero – rendered their dialogues of Light and Hope.

The 2021 Artists

Unmissable Khaled paintings were in dialogue with Skinner‘s photography. Bagguley‘s paintings aligned with Zattarin‘s work in a dialogue of compassion. A vibrant hope installation by Parejo and Anon was in tune with Lieberman‘s Extended Ocean work.
